Airport gastro design.

Liszt Ferenc Airport’s Food Court takes flight! Our team brought the execution plans to life, introducing five brand-new dining spots. Modern spaces, vibrant vibes, and fresh flavors now await travelers — making every pre-flight moment a delicious experience.

The Food Court transformation promised to be a true international adventure. We collaborated with colleagues from Greece, India, Iran, and Hungary to create a result that is both functional and a memorable experience for every traveler — while also navigating the airport’s uniquely complex set of rules. A genuinely multicultural project, in which we felt right at home as designers.

The foundation was created by our Indian interior design colleagues, who established the concept for the revamped Food Court in their visual plans. The new gastro space features five distinct dining units (Levito, Dao Dao, Zest&Twist, Paprika, Upper Crust), sharing a flowing common guest area and checkout zones, while each maintains its own unique style and culinary identity. The units are visually tied together by the flooring, the slatted false ceiling, and the organically arranged floral ceiling patterns within it.

Translating the exciting concept into reality in Hungary was our task: meeting the airport’s interior design, fire safety, mechanical, and kitchen technology requirements posed an extraordinary design management challenge. Our prepared team, acting as the lead designer, coordinated the various specialist designers and managed both technical and client consultations to ensure that the execution plans could be realized within local conditions. Our work extended beyond the impressive guest area to include the kitchen and back-of-house spaces as well.

The revamped Food Court is not just a place to eat — it’s a space where design, international vibes, and flavors come together. We are proud to say that, through our execution plans, our team shaped this unique, multicultural space, which now offers memorable moments for every traveler.
